IR choose Bo-Bo and made a intelligent choice by making the engine longer and making it into two parts, advantages it has enough weight to pull heavy weight and turn easily due to the articulated joint between two parts. it will be pulling 6000 Tons of load, at 100Km and the train is supposed to be 2 KM long in length. The Dedicated Freight Corridor will ensure high speed.
The train is going to remove 600 trucks from road assuming 10T per truck, reducing traffic in road and cost of transport.
The loco production line alongside municipality in Madhepura, Bihar was set up at a venture of Rs 2,000 crore. Its yearly assembling limit is 120 trains.
